A new mutual assistance treaty type, new tractor beam ship technology, and moving more of the interface from PHP/HTML to PHP/XML/XSLT.

A start on the move to the XSLT templating system, with PHPLIB extensions to support this. Mine field evasion is possible, and there are new combat participation options for opting out of certain types of combat.

A port to PHP using phplib, a server-side event processor (in Python) for computer generated events (zooming AI ships around, etc.), new icons, and new map functionality.

Alliance treaties, and truly modular ship technology (multiple modules confer additional advantages).

Ship tactical defense, ability to make long range attacks upon forces, experience gains from force attacks, and salvaging tech from destroyed ships.
