and status bars, highlights URLs, makes use of
some common NNTP extensions, offers better
documentation, and has lots of minor improvements
and bugfixes over the previous version.
This release fixes many annoying and some
(potentially) security relevant bugs. New features
include basic UTF-8 support, an enhanced scoring
syntax, formatted output of dates, new S-Lang
intrinsic functions, better support for broken
servers, more color objects, and many new config
options. Additionally, the UI has been cleaned up,
lots of new documentation was added, and autoconf
support was improved.
Lots of bug fixes were made. A new color object for the "Date:" header was added. The check for new groups can be permanently disabled. "Verbatim marks" now turn off line length check and may be hidden.
Fixed calculation of article window size in non-zoomed mode and a bug in parsing of realnames that contain no alphabetical characters, spool.c will check the .minmax file if no articles are present in a spool directory, new intrinsic added: replace_article. This allows a macro to replace the contents of an article with a specified string, slrnpull `--debug FILENAME' command line option added and some modifications to nntp.c to call the connection-lost-hook as early as possible.
