A pallet of saved sessions would be nice, but it's still better than the rest ("the rest" being putty. Does what you need. Does integrate well with Remote Desktop Manager (Devolutions).
Works well with SSH, telnet, AND serial. Best of breed.
GUI element separate from opened terminal sessions would be nice--no GUI and prog quits entirely when closing the last session.

I tested Tera Term for serial communication and it is not fast enough to catch continual communication on 921600bd without data loss. Probably graphics causes it, because bigger window means bigger variation.
I didn't find any terminal (e.g. putty), which can catch it.

Very useful terminal for debugging on development boards
Relatively stable, many features
Does not seem to support linux terminal colors over serial port
