PDF files are now analyzed and retrieved using an internal Perl module, so pdfinfo is no longer required. Also, the Web pages can now be served by Apache.
A navigation bar has been added on item pages to
ease browsing. HTML and XML files are now managed
(with retrieval of common meta-data, such as
title, author, and description). Computing the MD5
sum of files, detecting MIME types, and and
counting lines or words in plain text files are
now done internally (using Perl modules) instead
of calling external programs.
Sqlite DB backend support was added. The Web
server was made more responsive and stable. A
server logging system was added. A lot of cleaning
was done, and a lot of bugs were fixed.
