This release allows you to manually set column sizes, columns order, and
sort order, and settings are remembered between sessions. Decoding of
articles can be canceled and shows a progress percentage. A bug with the
headers date which occurred when using localized distributions has been
fixed. Window size is now remembered correctly even if the window has
been maximized.
An option to delete old articles was added, along
with two command-line options, a statusbar widget
to show the aggregate server speed, a "window"
menu to switch between open windows, and a context
menu on tabs. A new thread to manage the download
queue was implemented to improve the GUI
responsiveness during downloading. A big memory
leak and other smaller bugs were fixed.
In this release, the update speed of newsgroups was largely
improved (about eight times faster than previous versions).
Some bugs (including a couple of annoying decoding problems)
were fixed.
